COACHE Faculty Satisfaction Survey at Carolina
COACHE Faculty Satisfaction Survey
Collaborative on Academic Careers in Higher Education
The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill has collaborated with the Collaborative on Academic Careers in Higher Education (COACHE), housed at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, to gather faculty feedback on their experiences at the university, their work environment, and their roles. Carolina has participated in this survey since 2009. The insights from these surveys enable university leaders to recognize areas of strength and make targeted changes that enhance faculty satisfaction and improve the overall work culture at UNC-Chapel Hill.
The COACHE Faculty Job Satisfaction Survey is specifically designed for faculty and goes beyond the recent UNC System employee survey that faculty may have completed. It provides deeper insights into the academic workplace and addresses issues crucial for our faculty community.
In 2021, faculty completed the COACHE Survey, and the results from that questionnaire can be viewed on the Office of Institutional Research and Assessment (OIRA) website.
